If you are a fan of exotic food who is always open to trying interesting new specialties, you must have noticed that traditional Asian food is becoming more and more popular, and the offer in Zagreb and its surroundings has grown significantly in the last few years. There are more and more places where you can try Asian food, and Chinese cuisine is especially popular. In addition to Chinese food, attention is also drawn to Japanese food and some interesting Asian specialties such as gyoze, Bao buns and the inevitable wok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restaurants in Zagreb increasingly include part of Asian cuisine in their offer, and some are based exclusively on the Asian fusion principle. Fusion cuisine is defined as cuisine that combines the different traditions of two or more peoples or regions to create interesting new dishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsu restaurant based its offer on Asian fusion cuisine with the aim of creating an opportunity to try the best specialties from different parts of Asia in one place. The pleasant interior, where you will experience a complete Asian experience, is exactly what distinguishes Matsu from most Zagreb street food restaurants that serve a similar type of food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsu’s menu is full of interesting selections, and some are worthy of special attention. Popular gyoza, Japanese ravioli filled with meat and vegetables, come in two versions \u2013 pork and chicken, and are served with teriyaki sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the classic spring rolls that come in a vegetarian version, you will also find non-classic rolls that you must try. They are special in that they are breaded on the outside, and they come in 3 different versions – duck, shrimp, chicken and salmon. According to many, the star of the menu is the irresistibly soft Bao buns \u2013 steamed buns filled with glazed pork and vegetables that you won’t be able to skip. You’ll find a good selection of woks and hot and cold salads, and be sure to leave some room for a dessert you won’t want to skip. The popular mochi, matcha bounty cake, rice pudding with fruit or sweet spring rolls will complete the Matsu story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
